Key's Enterprise Internship is a 10.5-week program that offers meaningful work, feedback and coaching, and engaging events that encourage interns to pursue a full-time career at Key. Interns work on line of business projects that directly support Key's business and strategic priorities. The program includes networking with Key teammates at all levels, a series of Learning Labs with internal and external speakers covering competitive trends, financial wellness and professional development, and an assigned mentor.

Internal Audit

Internal Audit provides an independent assessment of Key's processes and risks. As a trusted advisor, the team tests the adequacy and effectiveness of KeyBank's risk management practices, recommends improvements and monitors remediation. Internal Audit is accountable to the KeyCorp Audit Committee and reports to key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and its committees, executive and line of business management, and KeyBank's regulators.

About the Internal Audit Internship

The internship runs for approximately 10 weeks in the summer. Interns work on various audits alongside experienced professionals, building auditing skills and receiving direct coaching and feedback. Placements may be in one or more areas such as Lending, Deposits, Payments, Compliance, Capital Markets and Asset Management. The internship is performed in a virtual environment, although interns located near Buffalo, NY or Cleveland, OH may occasionally work in an office. Based on performance, interns may be offered a full-time Rotational Analyst role with Internal Audit upon graduation.

Job Responsibilities

• Join one or two audits to learn each phase of an audit (planning, fieldwork and reporting) and different parts of the organization.
• Work each week according to the annual Audit Plan and the current reviews in process on your assigned team.
• Typically work 8-hour days, with no more than 40 hours per week.
• Attend audit-specific training and enterprise-wide Learning Labs.
• Network with other Internal Audit interns and members of the Internal Audit Senior Leadership Team.
• Conclude the internship with a Spotlight presentation to the Senior Leadership Team and Internal Audit managers about your experience.
