Purpose

The Integrated Data Analytics & Reporting (IDAR) organization within Global Development is looking for motivated Summer Interns to join the Regulatory Medical Writing (RMW) function through the IDAR Summer Intern Training Academy.

This internship offers hands-on experience in pharmaceutical research and development. You will see how Regulatory Medical Writing supports the development, regulatory approval, and maintenance of medicines, and you will work on high-quality clinical and regulatory documents. You will also learn how scientific, medical, and statistical information is interpreted and shared throughout clinical development.

The program is designed to build practical experience and professional skills in a collaborative pharmaceutical R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Regulatory Medical Writing work related to clinical development and regulatory documentation.
• Learn how clinical and regulatory documents are developed to support product development, regulatory approval, and product maintenance.
• Help prepare and review clinical documents, which may include Investigator's Brochures, Clinical Trial Protocols, Clinical Study Reports, summaries of efficacy and safety, and responses to Health Authority questions.
• Review, interpret, and summarize scientific, medical, clinical, and statistical information.
• Apply strong writing and attention to detail to produce clear, accurate, high-quality clinical documentation.
• See how clinical trial design and study results are turned into regulatory and clinical documents.
• Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional partners involved in clinical development.
• Take part in assigned projects and learning activities within the IDAR Summer Intern Training Academy.
• Contribute to projects that support the development of medicines within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine.
