Job Description

This opportunity is intended for conversion to a full-time role that will not offer work authorization sponsorship in the future (full-time conversion pending performance evaluation post internship and available headcount). Interested candidates must be currently eligible to work in the US and must not require work authorization sponsorship in the future. The Team

Today, what we build in Personal Systems is across three main pillars:

• Advancing leadership in Computing is our first pillar: The pandemic made PCs essential. We create laptops, desktops, business PCs, Gaming PCs, Chromebooks, Education-specific PCs, Creator-specific PCs, and Workstations.
• Creating leadership in Peripherals is our second pillar: Peripherals are your monitors, docks, webcams, keyboards, and mice. The most immersive experiences come through things we see, hear, touch. People refresh their peripherals 5x faster and more often than their notebooks. We acquired HyperX, where we develop high quality gaming gear for all types of gamers, and we have also acquired Poly, which allows us to provide razor-sharp 4K video for the ultimate meeting experiences.
• Expanding Digital Services is our third pillar: More hybrid workforce and more time spent on digital platforms gaming, shopping, connecting equals more need for services. We are uniquely placed to help IT with combo across HP (PC & Print).

Join HP's Personal Systems organization to explore new product opportunities in agentic AI. You will research customer and market needs, identify opportunities for differentiation, and recommend a focused minimum viable product (MVP) for review by the portfolio and insights team.

Responsibilities

• Research market trends, customer needs, competitors, and emerging agentic AI technologies.
• Identify and evaluate potential AI product opportunities.
• Define the target user, value proposition, competitive differentiation, and key use cases.
• Develop a scoped MVP recommendation and supporting business rationale.
• Analyze market, financial, and product data to inform recommendations.
• Create data visualizations and executive-ready presentations.
• Present findings and recommendations to portfolio and insights stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product management, marketing, finance, engineering, and analytics teams.

Education

• Currently pursuing an MBA or relevant master's degree in business administration, Finance, Computer Science.
• Must be enrolled full time at an accredited university.
• Has no more than 24 months of prior work experience professionally related to the intern requisition they are applying to (not including internships, teaching assistance, research work, or military experience).
• Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2027, and not require sponsorship in the future.

Required Skills

• Strong market research and analytical abilities.
• Understanding of product management principles and product development.
• Ability to translate research into a clear product strategy and MVP scope.
• Experience analyzing business, financial, or market data.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or agentic AI.
• Experience with AI research tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.
• Knowledge of competitive analysis, customer segmentation, and go-to-market strategy.
• Interest in technology product management and commercial computing.
