Creative Marketing Internship in Philadelphia

About the Role & Program

WPVI-TV is an ABC-owned television station (OTVS) located in an innovative facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Marketing Department is an advertising powerhouse driven by imaginative producers and artists. The goal is to elevate the brands of 6abc and Action News, Philadelphia's #1 source for news, covering Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and beyond.

What You Will Do

You will observe and take part in a fast-paced, hands-on, creative operation that produces news, programming and special events promos, shapes the station's graphic look, and creates content for 6abc.com and Action News social media platforms.

On any given day you might:

• Take part in every phase of creative production, from concept and research through post-production.
• Gain hands-on experience writing, shooting, editing and supporting promotional video productions.
• Create engaging video content for social media platforms.
• Develop and carry out content ideas that grow the station's presence on TikTok and Instagram.
• Represent the station at community events, activations and promotional initiatives.
• Work with marketing team members on projects and departmental initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, with experience creating video and graphic content.
• Knowledge of local news, current events and emerging social media trends, with the ability to apply those insights to content development.
• Experience developing content for video, digital or social media platforms.

Additional Information

• Able to keep a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
• The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 through June 2027.
• All candidates must be available to work 20 hours per week.
• Able to arrange own housing for the duration of the internship in the Philadelphia, PA area.
• Able to provide or have reliable transportation to and from work in the Philadelphia, PA area.
