As a Product Design Intern, you will join a team that works to understand and solve customers' most challenging problems. You will learn how to become a successful product designer at a high-growth enterprise technology company operating at the intersection of data and AI. You will have a dedicated mentor and will join the 2026 intern cohort, where you'll connect with product managers, engineers, designers, account teams, other interns, and company leaders.

This is a 12-week paid summer internship program.

The impact you will have:

• Work with a cross-functional team to build features for the Databricks platform
• Manage your project end-to-end, from discovery and ideation through a final design prototype for engineering to implement
• Conduct research with customers to better understand their needs and improve your design

What we look for:

• Pursuing a degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028
• Excellent interaction design skills with knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and usability
• A proven ability to efficiently build interactive prototypes using the latest AI tooling
• Analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g. analyzing product usage) and the ability to conduct basic usability testing and semi-structured interviews
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex topics simple and clearly convey nuance to partners (engineers, customers, field, etc.) in both written and verbal form
• Enjoyment of solving ambiguous problems with a collaborative team

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role represents the expected range for non-commissionable roles. Actual compensation depends on factors such as job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
