Databricks Hiring Product Design New Grad

At Databricks, the team works on helping data teams solve some of the world's toughest problems, from next-generation transportation to accelerating medical breakthroughs. As an Associate Product Designer, you will join a team that works hard to understand and solve customers' most challenging problems. You will learn how to become a successful product designer at a high-growth enterprise technology company at the intersection of data and AI. As part of the 2027 APD cohort, you will have a dedicated manager and mentor and will connect with product managers, engineers, designers, researchers, account teams, and leaders across the company.

The impact you will have:

• Work with a cross-functional team to build features for the Databricks platform
• Manage your project end-to-end, from discovery and ideation through a final design prototype for engineering to implement
• Work with engineers and designers to ship features on the Databricks platform
• Conduct research with customers to better understand their needs and improve your design

What we look for:

• You will graduate in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a bachelor's or master's degree in HCI or a related design practice
• You can demonstrate using AI tools in your design process without sacrificing craft
• You apply good judgment to visual hierarchy, layout, and information architecture in your design work
• You have some first-hand experience with SQL and/or Python
• You are hands-on and learn by doing, happy to build, test, and iterate your way to an answer
• You use analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g. analyzing product usage, conducting user experience research)
• You can make complex topics simple and communicate your design perspective to partners (engineers, customers, field) in both written and verbal form
• You are excited to solve ambiguous problems with a collaborative team
• You stay curious and keep learning, whether it is a new technology, a customer's domain, or a part of the product you have not touched before
