Position Summary

The Medicare Sales Strategy & Enablement Internship is an 11-week full-time program running from May 24, 2027 to August 4, 2027.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the Hartford, CT office. The other 2 days each week can be worked remotely from home, the office, or another location of your choice. Relocation assistance may be provided for qualifying candidates.

As a CVS Health Corporate Intern, you will take part in:

The hourly rate is $26/hr for 40 hours per week. The program includes no work on July 4th (company holiday) and two days of paid leave. Corporate interns also have an increased likelihood of receiving an offer for a future role with CVS Health.

Sponsorship

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role, including Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

About this Business Area

The Sales Strategy organization within Aetna's Individual Medicare Sales Center of Excellence helps drive the success of Medicare sales and broker engagement initiatives nationwide. The team develops programs, tools, and strategies that support brokers, market leaders, and sales professionals in delivering strong experiences and helping members understand their coverage options.

Aetna Academy, part of this organization, is a high-visibility training and development program supporting Individual Medicare, Medicare Supplement, and Ancillary products. The team focuses on scalable processes, stronger program effectiveness, and better learning experiences that help business partners succeed while supporting CVS Health's mission to improve health outcomes and access to care.

You Will Gain Valuable Work Experience and Participate In:

• Evaluating business processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and program effectiveness
• Developing project management skills through planning, coordinating, and executing strategic initiatives
• Creating process maps, standard operating procedures, and reusable tools that support operational excellence
• Exploring the responsible use of AI technologies to automate workflows and improve business processes
• Analyzing program performance metrics and broker engagement data to identify trends and opportunities
• Supporting the development of executive-ready presentations, communications, and business recommendations
• Collaborating with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders on training, learning, and performance initiatives
• Gaining exposure to sales strategy, sales enablement, operations, analytics, and organizational effectiveness practices

Required Qualifications

• Meet educational requirements (see Education section)

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience, such as active roles in student or social organizations, sports, or school or work-related projects
• Internship, work, or project experience in a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in obtaining a full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation
• Demonstrated interest or experience in process mapping and process improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT and an understanding of responsible AI usage
• Experience with project management principles, organizational tools, or process improvement initiatives
• Data analysis, reporting, or dashboard development experience
• Experience creating presentations, training materials, or learning resources
• Strong attention to detail and ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable recommendations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple teams and functions
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, professionalism, and problem-solving skills
