Your Opportunity

This internship gives hands-on exposure to how Schwab's Retail organization uses strategy, analytics, and structured problem solving to tackle important business opportunities and improve the client experience. Interns contribute to high-priority work while building skills in analytical thinking, communication, collaboration, and execution.

Through real-world projects and work with business leaders and experienced professionals, interns learn how Schwab evaluates complex business questions and turns data into recommendations for clients and the Retail organization. Business Strategy interns work on issues tied to the Retail leadership agenda, while Analytics interns help deliver insights that inform Retail business decisions.

Schwab believes in in-office collaboration, and the selected candidate is expected to work on site in the specified location(s).

2027 Opportunity Areas

Business Strategy
Works as an internal consulting team on high-priority questions for Retail leadership. Interns may contribute to growth strategy, GenAI adoption, competitive and market assessments, M&A and integration planning, and organizational design, and receive ownership of a workstream with exposure to senior leaders.

Analytics Consulting
Partners with the Retail business to turn data into actionable insights, with opportunities to analyze client and asset behavior, forecast outcomes, measure sales performance, build KPI dashboards, improve client experiences, and explore how AI can enhance analytics and decision-making.

What You'll Do

Depending on your assigned team, you may:

• Break down complex and sometimes ambiguous business questions into structured components and identify the information needed to solve them.
• Run quantitative and qualitative analysis to find patterns, trends, business drivers, and actionable insights.
• Work with business partners to shape analytical approaches and turn findings into clear recommendations.
• Research and synthesize information to support strategic priorities and business decisions.
• Create presentations, analyses, dashboards, and written materials that communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Analyze client behavior, asset flows, sales performance, segmentation, or other business performance measures.
• Support strategic initiatives related to growth, client experience, competitive positioning, GenAI, business transformation, operating models, or organizational design.
• Build or contribute to performance measurement tools, KPI dashboards, forecasting models, or analytical reporting.
• Explore ways to use AI and productivity tools to improve analysis, performance reporting, or ways of working.
• Own a defined workstream or deliverable and drive it from initial research through recommendations and next steps.
