About this Role

The Centrifugal Compression Group in Carrier's Mechanical Center of Excellence is looking for a motivated, results-oriented college student for the Summer of 2027. The internship offers practical, challenging on-the-job experience and a chance to help Carrier reach its business strategy. You will apply skills in thermodynamics, design, CAD modeling, CFD analysis and fluid mechanics, and build knowledge of turbomachinery design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering software such as Creo and Ansys CFX for CAD modeling and simulation.
• Perform vapor-cycle refrigeration thermodynamic analysis.
• Work closely with lab personnel to execute laboratory test plans.
• Help troubleshoot compressor performance and field issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or previous internships in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, engineering computational tools and CAD preferred.
• Self-driven and proactive, with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Team player willing to collaborate on projects.

Other Compensation

This position may be eligible for short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements. This position is not eligible for Carrier benefits.
