Software Engineering Co-op

This Software Engineering Co-op is open to students currently enrolled at Drexel University. Based in King of Prussia, PA, the role lets you work alongside a team of software developers who enjoy mentoring and sharing their expertise. You will gain hands-on experience on meaningful projects, build your technical skills, and contribute to real-world solutions.

Responsibilities

• Working with a diverse team to develop software in an agile-like manner
• Meeting regularly with mentors
• Shadowing software engineers on their daily tasks and performing duties under mentor supervision
• Contributing to feature development by completing small to medium sized issues
• Assessing ideas and helping develop new applications
• Taking part in code reviews and helping write software documentation
• Testing software for functionality, usability, and reliability

Preferred Experience

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, AWS or C2S preferred
• Experience building scalable, web-based applications
• Experience building user interfaces, React preferred
• Experience with containerization, Docker preferred
• Experience training and developing machine learning models
• Experience developing performant algorithms in various domains
