Summer Systems Administrator Intern (MD)

Job Description

This role organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems. The systems administrator provides day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization, and user assistance. The role also runs capacity and performance analysis and recommends system configuration changes and upgrades.

The intern will make system administrator work more efficient and accurate through automated tools and scripts, develop system administrator procedures, and run system administrator training and skills assessments. The role also determines computer user needs and analyzes system capabilities, programming techniques and controls.

What You Have

• Knowledge of the configuration and operation of systems
• Ability to maintain servers, create monitoring reports and logs, and ensure functionality of system links
• Ability to perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Ability to monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor system security
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring 2028

Salary depends on factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
