The Opportunity

As an electrical engineer, you understand how complex systems work. That knowledge is key to designing, simulating, and verifying digital circuits for advanced microelectronic systems. We are looking for an electrical engineer who can apply their skills to help government clients develop reliable, mission-ready semiconductor technologies.

At Booz Allen, you will use your engineering skills to transform the defense and national security microelectronics industry. Our team develops and evaluates secure, reliable digital hardware for mission-critical applications. We need an electrical engineer with foundational knowledge of digital design and hardware verification to help design and develop digital logic, verification environments, testbenches, and reusable verification components for microelectronic systems.

On the team, you will learn how to translate system requirements into hardware specifications, develop RTL using a hardware description language, create simulation-based testbenches, execute verification plans, analyze coverage, and troubleshoot bugs. You will support national security and defense missions by helping deliver trusted microelectronics that operate as intended. This role lets you build your digital design and verification skills while gaining experience in RTL development, functional verification, semiconductor design workflows, and electronic design automation tools.

Work on national security microelectronics challenges with us as we improve the reliability and availability of trusted microelectronics for critical government missions. Due to the nature of work performed in this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have

  • Knowledge of digital logic design concepts, including Boolean logic, finite-state machines, combinational logic, and sequential logic
  • Knowledge of at least one hardware description or hardware verification language, such as Verilog or SystemVerilog
  • Ability to develop, simulate, debug, or verify digital hardware through academic coursework, laboratory assignments, internships, or technical projects
  • Ability to use scripting or programming languages, such as Python, C, C++, Tcl, or Bash, for engineering or test automation
  • Ability to communicate technical information and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering by Spring 2030

Nice If You Have

  • Experience developing RTL, testbenches, assertions, verification plans, or functional coverage
  • Knowledge of verification methodologies, including Universal Verification Methodology
  • Ability to use electronic design automation or simulation tools from vendors such as Cadence, Siemens, or Synopsys

Compensation

Booz Allen celebrates your contributions, provides opportunities and choices, and supports your total well-being. Offerings include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, plus paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care. The recognition awards program acknowledges employees for exceptional performance and demonstration of company values. Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible for Booz Allen's benefit programs. Those below that threshold are eligible only for select offerings, not including health benefits.

Work Model

The team values collaboration. Employees working virtually are generally expected to keep their cameras on during meetings.

  • Remote: Roles listed as remote may still require in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: Roles listed as hybrid require work from a Booz Allen or customer facility, based on leadership expectations and role needs.
  • Onsite: Roles listed as onsite are performed primarily full-time at a customer facility, where employees collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required.

Candidate AI Usage Policy

AI is part of daily work at Booz Allen, and the company is committed to responsible and ethical use of AI tools. To keep the candidate process fair, the use of AI or other tools to assist with responses during interviews (in person or virtual) is prohibited unless permission is explicitly provided.

Identity Statement

As part of hiring, you will complete an identity verification process that uses biometrics and artificial intelligence to confirm authenticity and guard against identity fraud. You are expected to be on camera during interviews and assessments.
