It designs, builds and operates its satellites from its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California.

About the Internship

Internships at Astranis typically last twelve weeks. They are hourly roles for students currently enrolled at a four-year university.

Interns work on hard problems and meaningful projects regardless of seniority. Past interns have designed and tested hardware and software headed to space on the first satellite, and many are now full-time employees.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams across disciplines to design, prototype, develop and test software for space vehicles and ground infrastructure
• Develop software for custom PCBs and industry standard satellite communications hardware

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Aerospace or an equivalent technical degree
• Experience with C++ and Python
• Demonstrated ability to design, write and test software that interacts with hardware from scratch
