Team Overview

You will support the AGS (Applied Global Services) Sourcing organization. The team of Supplier Account Managers works with strategic external suppliers to meet Applied Materials' needs for parts and materials across multiple commodities, with a focus on cost, lead time, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze historical spend data by part number, commodity, supplier, and similar categories
• Review planning forecast data by part number, commodity, supplier, and similar categories
• Analyze data from a financial perspective, including Purchase Price Variance, cost, spend, and revenue
• Use Excel to summarize data by supplier, commodity, and Account Manager, and build summary tables, charts, and graphs
• Create PowerPoint slides that summarize the analysis with visual graphs, key bullets, and takeaways
• Communicate with Account Managers to get their input on key cost and spend variances

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, automated functions, calculations, and cost model development
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, including slides with visual charts, graphs, and key takeaways
• Knowledge of MS Access and user interfaces to various databases is a plus
