About the Role

The NSO (upgrades and legacy equipment) Department is looking for an intern to join the team in summer 2027. NSO is part of the AMAT VSE Implantation group, which supports installed base fleet harmonization, modernization and optimization through direct sales to end users and joint development programs.

Responsibilities

• Act as the interface between sales and the VSE BU for multiple customers or regions on non-standard system and upgrade sales.
• Support the NSO and upgrades strategy with sales to reach market penetration, share and growth targets.
• Learn the customer roadmap and HVPs to help position NSO and upgrade products against customer specifications and technical capabilities.
• Contribute to competitive intelligence for VSE BU red team analysis.
• Coordinate purchase and configuration response work with VSE BU product line management to close HW, SW and process NSO or upgrade evaluations.
• Learn data gathering, perform value pricing analysis, create NSO and upgrade collateral, and recommend product pricing structures. Partner with sales on order closure.
• Schedule and coordinate technical review meetings and Quarterly Business Review content with regional BU and sales teams.
• Prepare and present level 0 and level 1 technical presentations to customers.
• Support account and VSE BU financial targets for gross margin, revenue, book/bill commit and forecast.
• Support program managers on the VSE BU NSO and upgrades pipeline for new product releases, and help set up and manage NSO and upgrade milestones.
• Attend VSE BU internal meetings to share NSO and upgrade product and field updates as part of the VSE BU Product Marketing team.

Internship Dates

The 2027 summer internship runs from Monday, May 24 to Friday, August 13.

Additional Details

Travel is expected about 10% of the time, and the position is relocation eligible. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the position may close early based on application volume or candidate selection.
