Early Career Supply Chain Engineer

What You'll Do

The positions support the Supply Chain group in strategic planning, long-term supplier selection and negotiations. The role works with procurement, engineering, finance, legal teams and third parties such as suppliers. It calls for interest in industry dynamics, business negotiation and pricing, manufacturing processes and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities include collaborating on the development and rollout of business solutions in these areas:

• Demand & Material Planning: Support optimization of MRP system inputs, outputs and engine logic, integration into ERP modules and analytics dashboards. Identify material gaps and supplier risk, and help with BOM errors, sparing contract requirements, supply chain master data and program planning checkoffs.
• Procurement: Optimize an RFQ system and upstream data flows. Develop tools for multi-tier quoting, advanced sourcing and supplier collaboration, and build sourcing and cost trajectory analyses.
• Purchasing: Support the Buying team with Purchasing SOPs and training material, troubleshoot Part and BOM issues, build part availability dashboards and ad-hoc analytics, and enhance the Purchase Request process to automate workflows and improve traceability.
• Logistics, Warehouse & Supplier Quality: Optimize WMS and QMS systems to improve inventory accuracy and build readiness. Support compliance and sparing audits, and work with systems teams on inventory analytics.
• Operational Scale & Supply Chain Health: Document supply chain processes for internal SMEs and external suppliers, and develop document change control. Support a Supplier Scorecard, a supplier risk profile and health-check mechanism, compliance requirements tied to federal and industry regulations, and supply chain onboarding materials and checklists.
• Collaborative Work: Liaise between business and IT groups, support sprint planning and end-user testing, perform system and process testing, help build a global supply chain digital ecosystem roadmap, work with the Data team on data flow issues, and gather enhancement requirements from end users.
