Investment Banking

The Investment Banking group is organized by industry and product. It combines client relationships and industry knowledge with capital markets and advisory capabilities, including debt and equity underwriting, mergers and acquisitions, and loan syndications.

The Energy & Power industry coverage team is one of the areas in this program.

Program Overview

The Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week internship for undergraduates considering a career in investment banking. Aligned to an industry coverage or product group, you will contribute to live transactions and client engagements. Your work includes financial analysis, modelling, company and industry research, client materials and due diligence.

The program also includes analytical training, engagement with senior leaders, and networking across business lines.

What to Expect

Depending on your group, responsibilities may include:

• Developing and maintaining models to project financial results and value companies
• Working with senior bankers to prepare presentations and other client materials
• Performing company and industry research
• Participating in strategic planning and supporting the execution of advisory services
• Conducting financial and credit analysis, preparing credit packages and monitoring existing deals
• Taking part in client meetings, due diligence visits and other client interactions

The primary location for this program is Houston.
