This program begins with up to seven weeks of classroom training covering capital markets, products and services, accounting, corporate finance, systems and financial modeling. After that, analysts join a business group and take on meaningful work supporting senior investment banking professionals.
Important: This requisition is open only to 2026 Truist interns. Applicants who were not Truist interns will not be considered. Requisitions for other external candidates will be posted later, depending on open positions.
Truist Securities is the full-service corporate and investment banking arm of Truist Financial Corporation. Together with Commercial Real Estate and Treasury & Payment Solutions, it forms Truist's Corporate & Institutional Group, which provides lending, capital markets and treasury management solutions.
Wholesale Credit Delivery (WCD) underwrites and manages the debt capital Truist Securities commits to corporate clients. After a debt-funded transaction closes, WCD teams lead the credit relationship and monitor credit profiles and exposure across their portfolios.
WCD analysts follow a structured training path covering accounting, modeling, corporate finance, underwriting and financial analysis, then get placed within one of Truist Securities' Industry Groups. They review companies' financial performance, study industry trends, and identify key risks and mitigants against the bank's lending parameters. Analysts also work on cash flow analyses and credit underwriting.
Industry groups include Consumer & Retail, Energy, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Industrials & Services, Telecom, Media & Entertainment, Private Institutional Capital, Sustainability and Technology.
The Wholesale Credit Delivery Analyst position is typically a two-year role, and analysts may be asked to stay for one additional year.
Regular teammates working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits, subject to the division and position. Depending on the position, eligibility may also extend to a defined benefit pension plan, restricted stock units and/or a deferred compensation plan.
