CCP is responsible globally for solving process challenges through the development and application of platform cell culture media and upstream process technologies across CCD. The team identifies process pain points, resolves the underlying problems, generates data from proof of concept studies, and designs new process platforms with Upstream Development colleagues.

Main Responsibilities

• Work with your supervisor to independently design, plan, and run cell culture experiments at different scales, including shake flasks, ambr15, ambr250, and 3L/10L bench-top bioreactors to support platform development.
• Process and analyze experimental results using data automation platforms, interpreting growth rates, nutrient uptake and secretion profiles, and intracellular metabolite levels to support media development.
• Work with the modeling team to generate high-quality experimental data that constrains and validates computational models, applying coding skills to support flux balance analysis (FBA), metabolic flux analysis (MFA), kinetic modeling, and other metabolic modeling workflows.
• Contribute to protocol and report writing, and present findings in your functional area.
• Get exposure to cell culture development platforms and possibly work on multiple projects, such as fed-batch process development, perfusion process development, media development, and high-throughput automation development.
• Prepare samples for LC-MS analysis using automated liquid handling technology and process the results with a data automation platform.
