Sanofi's Global MSAT (Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics, and Technology) links our R&D and Manufacturing groups. The team guides new products from launch to commercial success and works at the forefront of data sciences and digitalization, inventing, industrializing and implementing chemical and biological processes, analytical methods and process modeling to launch 3 to 5 new products each year.

This co-op provides hands-on exposure to upstream cell culture operations, process technologies, and digital and automation initiatives that support process development and lifecycle management. You will work alongside scientists and engineers on mammalian cell culture development, new technology implementation and process improvements, and contribute to laboratory and digital projects, data analysis, documentation and cross-functional support.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated bioreactor control strategies combining mammalian cell culture, Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and cloud-based control software.
• Support upstream bioreactor operation activities, including hands-on lab work and integration of PAT tools such as Raman spectroscopy and online sensors for real-time monitoring.
• Develop and test control logic and software interfaces linking analytical equipment and bioreactor control systems for closed-loop and predictive feeding control.
• Assist with in-silico simulation, configuration and testing of control strategies before and alongside lab implementation.
• Work with scientists and engineers to keep data flow, system connectivity and control performance reliable across lab and digital platforms.
• Give regular project updates and a final technical presentation covering outcomes, learnings and proposed next steps.
