About the Job

Looking to launch your career at the forefront of healthcare? Join Sanofi to grow with mentoring and guidance from inspiring leaders, while helping to make an impact on the lives of people worldwide. We are looking for a highly motivated Spring Co-op to join our Biochemistry team.

Sanofi is a global healthcare leader focused on patients' needs, engaged in research, development, manufacturing and marketing of innovative therapeutic solutions. Its core strengths include general medicine, specialty care (rare disease) and human vaccines. The vaccine division provides more than one billion doses each year, helping to immunize more than 500 million people across the globe.

The Biochemistry Group within the Global Antigen Design (GAD) Department contributes to the development of vaccine candidates, from early prototype optimization to IND-enabling activities. As a co-op in the Biochemistry platform, you will help develop next generation vaccines targeting respiratory pathogens (which may include seasonal influenza, pandemic influenza, RSV, hMPV and/or COVID). Your main focus will be vaccine candidate characterization, working closely with our team of experts.

You will learn to design, perform and execute protein expression, purification and characterization campaigns at research scale, using the Hamilton automatic purification system and various protein purification instruments, including affinity purification, IEX and SEC. You may also learn bioanalytical tools such as HPLC, mass spectrometry, DSC, BLI and CryoEM to confirm correctly folded protein antigens, as well as our integrated automation system for high throughput expression, purification and characterization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Complete specific laboratory research tasks under supervision, with high productivity, consistency and high quality data.
  • Learn about Biochemistry by reading scientific literature and working with your supervisor and team.
  • Maintain and update experiment notebooks according to QA requirements.
  • Take part in lab and equipment maintenance, and restock lab supplies.
  • Attend group meetings and present data.

Why Choose Us

  • Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future focused team.
  • Grow your skills through apprenticeships, internships, graduate programs and international experiences.
  • Learn from inspiring mentors while contributing to real projects that shape the future of healthcare.
  • Build your future with access to the latest tools, digital innovation and continuous learning.
