Market Intelligence Sales Associate Internship

About the Role

S&P Global is offering a ten-week internship that supports new business growth and revenue retention within one of its key Market Intelligence (MI) Revenue business lines. Interns will get hands-on experience with core workflows and build a broad understanding of the wider S&P Global business. The goal is to support and develop interns, and strong performance during the program can lead directly to a full-time career offer. Final placements will be determined during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Help manage prospecting efforts, including marketing leads, new business campaigns, and customer upgrade campaigns.
• Manage sales tasks within the CRM system.
• Support the sales team with booking meetings, preparing materials, and presenting at meetings.
• Analyze territories and existing accounts to identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Build cross-asset knowledge across the markets and a deeper understanding of the finance industry.
• Learn the selling features and narratives of S&P Global products that help win business.
• Develop core sales skills, including lead generation, cold calling, pitching, negotiation, and contracting.

Over the summer, you will work with industry experts on high-impact projects that let you apply and grow your skills. Networking, business insights, and tailored learning opportunities support your development as you start your career.

The Summer 2027 Internship Program offers a range of experiences to help you identify your strengths, build transferable skills, and move toward a successful career path at S&P Global.

Duration: 10 weeks, June to August 2027 (USA, EMEA, APAC).

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor's degree or MSc in a relevant field such as finance, economics, or business, to be completed no later than May 2028.
• A strong interest in the financial services sector.
• Goal oriented and action driven, with the ability to work toward revenue targets in a business development environment.
• Interest in solving client problems through financial market data solutions and analytical tools.
• Experience handling challenging situations, such as objection handling and getting past gatekeepers.
• Strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
