What You Will Do

Join the Raytheon Software Engineering team. The selected candidate will intern with Raytheon during summer 2027 as part of the Raytheon Fellowship Program.

About the Raytheon Fellowship Program

• Open to students in their sophomore or junior year, or seniors pursuing a master's degree.
• Accepted participants will be submitted for a national security clearance.
• Participants may be eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus, plus an additional $10,000 signing bonus upon converting to a full-time employee after graduation (payable within 60 days of employment and subject to applicable withholdings).
• Participants will sign an offer agreement committing them to remain with Raytheon for at least two years after becoming full-time employees.
• Career growth beyond software is possible. Former software employees are now Vice Presidents across Raytheon businesses, and dozens of Engineering Fellows are recognized across industry as subject matter experts.

RTX is seeking the Software Platform Intern to join its team in Richardson, TX, supporting the development, implementation, deployment and maintenance of advanced systems for unique customer missions. These systems collect, process and disseminate intelligence and other data about specific areas of interest in support of national defense.

Responsibilities

• Support infrastructure and DevOps build and automation work using programming and scripting skills (Ruby, Python, Go, PowerShell and Java).
• Help develop, document and maintain operations concepts, requirements and systems engineering artifacts.
• Integrate multiple software and hardware subsystems to ensure seamless functionality.
• Use continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development.
• Apply engineering principles, theories and concepts to solve routine technical problems.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment to achieve project goals.
• Use cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker and Kubernetes to optimize the platform.
