Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Software Engineering Summer Intern. In this role, you will support the F35 Pilot Training Devices (PTD) Tactical Environment Simulation (TES). TES is a synthetic environment that models threats, weather, emissions properties, and other aspects of the environment that the simulated F-35 encounters in mission rehearsal and combat training.

The successful candidate will have experience with Linux and C++, a strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and experience working in software development on an agile team.

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field
• Experience coding in C++
• Experience developing software in a Linux environment
• Must be a US Citizen; this position is located at a facility that requires special access

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
• Understanding of version control systems
• Strong academic performance
• Previous software internship or project experience
