What You Will Do

Raytheon's Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit focuses on multi-domain integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics, effectors and cyber solutions. Within ASDS, Space Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance delivers information superiority from space, multi-mission automation and orchestration, multiple intelligence (Multi-INT) and resilient operations, secure processing and data management.

Raytheon is hiring Software Platform Engineer Co-Ops through the Raytheon Cooperative Education Program. This is a part-time, remote role for senior or postgraduate students with an expected graduation date of December 2027.

Co-op participants will be submitted for a U.S. Government security clearance once selected. During the co-op period, you will join monthly engagement seminars, complete required Raytheon training, take part in security clearance activities and meet with a mentor. The role requires 2-4 hours per month for these activities and does not include an internship or direct program or project work.

After graduation and clearance approval, co-ops will move into a full-time onsite position in Richardson, TX, supporting the design, development and maintenance of systems for customer missions.
