What You Will Do

Join the Advanced Products Center (APC) Texas Materials and Process team in McKinney, Texas, as a Mechanical Engineering Intern focused on Special Tooling and Test Fixtures. You will help support product builds through mechanical design, from concept creation to final assembly, and work with multidisciplinary teams on the design, fabrication and implementation of special tools and fixtures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing mechanical models and drawings for Special Tools and Test Fixtures of low to moderate complexity.
• Supporting the full design process, including obtaining quotes, make-versus-buy decisions, and tracking schedules and budgets.
• Presenting status updates in meetings and following documentation guidelines for customer-owned property.
• Assisting with assembly of your designs and automated test set designs as needed.
• Working with product, quality, reliability, test, industrial engineers and operations leaders to support manufacturing.
• Resolving technical challenges promptly while keeping customer needs in focus.
