About the job

At Relativity Space, we're building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. Commercial success with Terran R will also open new opportunities in science, exploration, and innovation.

Joining Relativity means taking ownership and having an impact at every level. You will help develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up, and your work will come to life quickly. Creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand here, and this is an early enough moment to shape the product, the process, and the culture.

About the Team

The Stennis Test team designs, builds, and operates Relativity's propulsion and stage test stands. Team members work hands-on with large, complex systems, including fully integrated engines and stage assemblies, and directly contribute to flight readiness. The work is fast-paced and operational, and it suits people with backgrounds in aviation, automotive, manufacturing, offshore operations, industrial systems, construction, or related fields.

Collaboration between technicians, operators, and engineers is expected. As the company scales, the Stennis Test team will help prove out full-stage systems and pave the way for routine, reliable flights of Terran R.

About the Role

As an Apprentice Propulsion Test Technician, you will support daily test operations, including engine testing, building new test stand facilities, and modifying existing test stands.

  • Install, perform operational checkouts, troubleshoot, and maintain test stand equipment and hardware
  • Fabricate, install, troubleshoot, and maintain fluid system tubing and hardware
  • Assemble, install, check out, and maintain components, including sensors for fluid system monitoring

  • Monitor and maintain inventory of consumables, tooling, and equipment

Physical requirements include lifting at least 50 lbs unassisted, standing for extended periods, and stooping, bending, crawling, and maneuvering in tight spaces. The position requires occasional night shifts, weekends, and possible travel.
