Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an internship opportunity. The position is based at the Defense Systems Sector in Huntsville, AL, within the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDSD).

Basic Qualifications

The candidate must meet all of the following:

• Be a student enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university, and remain enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
• Be majoring in or have majored in Electrical Engineering, Aeromechanical Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite).

Preferred Qualifications

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
• Current active Secret security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include assisting Electrical Engineers with design reviews.

Intern pay for Huntsville, AL is $25.50-$32.00 per hour for bachelor's candidates and $36.25-$39.00 per hour for master's candidates. Pay is standardized based on expected graduation date, local labor costs and whether the role is technical or administrative.
