Department Overview

The Vehicle Intelligence Theia Team develops and supports the Theia License Plate Recognition (LPR) Application Suite, which handles LPR data processing and device management. As a Software Engineer Co-op, you will work alongside senior engineers on scalable cloud solutions for secure LPR data distribution, AI-driven capabilities within the Theia ecosystem, edge-awareness features such as camera scene change detection, and a Vehicle Intelligence Operations Notification system to improve operational excellence and incident response.

Job Description

This Software Engineering Co-op will develop Machine Learning and AI functionality built on Elastic Elasticsearch. You will integrate AI capabilities, machine learning features and analytics tools into software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate Machine Learning and AI capabilities using Elastic Elasticsearch.
• Write efficient scripts and queries in Elastic KQL and ES|QL for data search, analysis and retrieval.
• Build reporting and visualization tools with Elastic Kibana.
• Design and develop AI agents using the AI Agent Development Kit (ADK).
• Write clean, maintainable and scalable code in Python and TypeScript.
