HVM Area Manufacturing Engineer Intern, Boise ID

As an intern on the Area Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team, you will help strengthen area industrial engineering performance by reducing operational risk and building stable, predictable capacity. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Process Development, Industrial Engineering and Operations to improve cycle time, throughput and redundancy while supporting ambitious program timelines.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve systemic area issues that affect throughput, cycle time, capacity and operational risk, including supporting capacity planning and modeling.
• Analyze operational data and performance metrics to spot trends, assess risks, recommend improvements and inform capital and capacity decisions.
• Partner with Industrial Engineering, Process Development, Manufacturing and Operations to evaluate capacity scenarios, develop mitigation plans and drive cross-functional projects.
• Support strategic meetings and capacity-management activities, clearly communicating performance, risks, priorities and recommended actions to stakeholders.
• Support safety and quality initiatives, including audits, good catches and human QDR follow-up.
