Sunnyvale Hiring Systems Engineer Intern

The Lockheed Martin COOLR program in Sunnyvale is looking for a summer 2027 intern with a strong interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). You will work alongside systems and mechanical engineers on real-world applications.

The role supports Satellite Constellation Operation and Sustainment activities. Responsibilities include providing on-console subsystem support to keep the constellation running, analyzing subsystem performance, and tracking timelines and trends to confirm the health and status of the constellation and the service it provides.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
• Pursuing an academic degree in a STEM field
• Eagerness to learn about the space technology industry

For Washington state applicants only (non-represented full-time employees): accrue at least 10 hours per month of PTO, receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of vacation per month, accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, vacation, sick leave and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
