Software Engineer Intern

We are looking for a summer intern who is currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university and will be given work related to that degree area. Accepted programs are limited to information technology related fields such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Information Sciences and Technology. Candidates should have knowledge of, experience with, and a desire to learn software development and software testing. You will work within a team environment under the supervision of senior software engineers. This position is based out of Valley Forge, PA.

This role calls for strong problem-solving skills focused on software development and integration in support of the United States Air Force's Operational Real-time Combat Analysis (ORCA) and JASSM Enterprise Management System (JEMS) programs. You will join an agile development team and support parts of the design and development effort. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded software developer with broad experience and a focused interest in, and demonstrable skills in, web application design, development, and testing.

You will take part in coordinating and executing the tasks of a tiered web application, including GUI prototyping, external web service integration, development of new web services, design and development of the logic layer, SQL database integration, and IIS hosting. Strong technical writing skills and an understanding of system and software engineering principles are required. You will also contribute to the design and development of data management and visualization solutions, from requirements and planning through full implementation, test and integration, deployment, and operations and maintenance. Work location is King of Prussia, PA, with virtual options available.
