The Lockheed Martin Rotary and Systems Mission team in Mount Laurel, New Jersey is looking for a Systems Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. Interns will work in technical and engineering organizations such as Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Facilities Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering during vacations and short breaks from college while enrolled in an accredited degree program.

Responsibilities

You will design, integrate and test systems, and conduct data analysis to assess the performance of Command, Control and Communications (C3) systems. These systems handle critical functions such as radar and sensor management, track filtering, track management including correlation and association, control of multiple communication links, threat evaluation and prioritization, and command of weapon systems for target engagement or assignment.

The successful candidate will bring experience or knowledge of systems engineering principles, algorithm development, and data analysis to troubleshoot and evaluate systems.

Desired Skills

• Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics and problem-solving skills
• Active security clearance
• Previous experience working in the defense industry
• Previous experience in JIRA and/or Confluence
