Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a 2026 Intern Systems Engineer (Cyber). In this role, you will support software developers, systems engineers, and software engineers who work with Java, Python, Amazon Web Services, Linux, and several Generative AI models.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Java and/or Python software development, Linux and cloud environments (AWS), and foundational cybersecurity knowledge and security tools. You will perform assignments in technical and engineering organizations (such as Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Facilities Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering) during vacations and short-term breaks from college while enrolled in an accredited degree program.

Desired Skills

• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including secure computing, networking, information assurance, vulnerability management, and security monitoring
• Exposure to or developing familiarity with enterprise and security tools such as Amazon Web Services, Tenable/ACAS, Splunk, endpoint protection platforms, Active Directory, and DISA STIGs
• Experience with Python and SQL through coursework or projects for scripting, data analysis, and technical problem-solving
• Exposure to cloud and enterprise environments such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Windows administration
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills demonstrated through academic coursework, leadership experience, or collaborative environments
