Summer Associate Data Scientist (NY)

As an Asset Management Investment Platform Data Scientist Summer Associate on the Asset Management Data Science team, you will apply NLP and large language models to build business-focused products. These products improve investment processes, client experiences, and operations. You will work with investors and portfolio managers to pull insights from financial reports, analyst notes, and client communications, supporting data-driven decisions and process automation.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions using large language models for content extraction, search, question answering, reasoning, and recommendation.
• Build thorough testing setups to measure model performance and confirm accuracy and reliability.
• Work with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Review scientific articles and research papers to find emerging techniques and new approaches.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Machine Learning.
• Proven experience in natural language processing and working with large language models.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks.
