About the Program

As a Global Investment Banking Summer Analyst, you will join the Natural Resources team in Houston. You will learn from experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful client work during this nine-week program. The program includes comprehensive training, hands-on learning, and continuous mentoring and feedback. As you build your skills, you will contribute to live client situations and develop deeper technical and analytical knowledge.

Job Responsibilities

• Build financial models, perform valuation analyses, and analyze market data to support client engagements and transactions
• Prepare presentations and other materials for client meetings, strategic reviews, financings, and live transactions
• Gain hands-on experience supporting advisory and capital markets assignments, from initial analysis through transaction execution
• Develop knowledge of companies, industries, and market trends while working across industry and product teams to deliver thoughtful solutions for clients
• Strengthen your technical, analytical, and communication skills while contributing to key deliverables in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Demonstrated energy and commitment to building a career in investment banking
• Strong analytical, accounting, finance, quantitative, and financial modeling skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team
• Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience in fast-paced environments

About You

A strong interest in investment banking is essential, as are analytical and quantitative abilities. Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment is also important. Attention to detail, resilience under pressure, and a well-rounded academic background are highly valued. A degree in finance, business, or economics is not required, but solid numeracy is essential.
