We are looking for talented candidates for the TDS Lab Automation Co-Op in Malvern, PA. One vacancy is currently open. The co-op term is typically six months, from January to June 2027 (flexible). This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) and fully on-site.

Purpose

The TDS Proteins Development Drug Product Development & Delivery (DPD&D) organization is looking for a motivated co-op student to help build pre-clinical Drug Product capabilities through laboratory experimentation, process development, automation, and digital innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate Process Analytical Technology (PAT) tools to characterize Lead Stability and Toxicology batches across the portfolio.
  • Support digital simulation and modeling projects, primary container/device initiatives, and formulation or chemistry development work.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data using analytical and statistical methods.
  • Take part in technical discussions on experimental design and problem-solving.
  • Work with internal and external partners during project meetings.
  • Keep laboratory notebooks and technical documentation according to company guidelines.
  • Provide project and laboratory support as needed.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives involving robotics, automation, computational modeling, and advanced manufacturing.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience or coursework in the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Robotics, Automation, Process Development
  • Aseptic Processing, Manufacturing, Fill/Finish Operations
  • Wet Lab Techniques, Programming
  • Computational Modeling, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Simulation

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Previous research, laboratory, or experimental design experience is preferred.
  • Leadership through campus organizations, community service, or extracurricular activities is a plus.
