The team is hiring for the TDS DPD&D Protein Formulations Co-Op based in Malvern, PA.

• One vacancy is currently available.
• The co-op term is typically six months, from January to June 2027 (flexible).
• Full-time requirement (40 hours per week), fully on-site.

Purpose

Support the Drug Product Development & Delivery (DPD&D) team in developing and characterizing protein-based drug products. Work includes laboratory experiments, data analysis, and assistance with formulation and stability studies. The co-op will gain hands-on experience with biologics, formulation science, experimental design, and analytical characterization within a pharmaceutical R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn formulation techniques to prepare and compound drug products for stability studies.
• Use analytical characterization tools such as micro-flow imaging, dynamic light scattering, turbidity measurements, and protein concentration analysis.
• Apply Design of Experiments (DoE) principles to evaluate formulation variables and how excipient degradation, enzyme type, enzyme concentration, and formulation conditions relate.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data using analytical and statistical methods.
• Take part in technical discussions and weekly meetings with internal and external collaborators.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and technical documentation according to established guidelines.
• Support research on protein formulation development and drug product characterization.
• Provide additional project support and contribute to team objectives as needed.
