This co-op is based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, for the TDS Sp2027 Co-Op CGT-AD Characterization program. The co-op term runs from January to June 2027 and requires full-time hours (40 per week). Four vacancies are currently available.

Responsibilities

The TDS Cell & Gene Therapy Development Analytical Development (AD) organization is looking for a candidate interested in product characterization for advanced therapy modalities. The co-op will:

• Develop and establish an end-to-end automated Digital PCR (dPCR)-based method for Lentiviral Vector Quality Attributes.
• Analyze and interpret experimental results using analytical and statistical techniques, and take part in weekly meetings with internal and external collaborators.
• Join technical discussions on experimental design to fill gaps in knowledge.
• Keep a laboratory notebook and other technical documents according to required guidelines.
• Support other projects as needed.

Requirements

• Completion of an undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biological Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field (preferred).
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher across all college coursework.
• Active enrollment at an accredited university for the full co-op assignment, pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree or equivalent experience. Juniors or seniors are preferred for Bachelor's candidates.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employment visa sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., F1, H-1B status).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while delivering results.
• Works independently as a self-starter while supporting team goals.

Preferred

• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Proven leadership or participation in campus programs and/or community service.
• Basic laboratory skills and prior experience in research, experimental design and execution, and data analysis.

Students on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually need future sponsorship for long-term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for a long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
