At IBM, work is more than a job. The team builds, designs, codes, consults, and invents to solve some of the world's most challenging problems. If you are ready to lead in this new era of technology, we want to hear from you.
As a CPU/ASIC Verification Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for pre-silicon functional and performance verification of our chipsets. You will plan, build, and execute the verification testplan for an area of our core, such as the cache/nest subsystem, memory hierarchy, I/O subsystem, or other on-silicon IP used in future IBM Power Systems and IBM Z Systems offerings.
You will use state-of-the-art techniques to simulate and verify designs for these custom microprocessor-based systems. The work combines hardware and software engineering skills, including creating environments and methodologies for simulating VHDL input, along with analysis and problem debug. Verification is performed at various levels within the design hierarchy.
IBMers are growth minded, curious, open to feedback, and willing to learn new skills. They collaborate as a team, bring different perspectives, and take on challenges with a can-do attitude.
Preferred experience includes processor or ASIC verification, industry-standard protocols (PCIe, CXL), modern CPU architectures (multi-level cache structures and coherence protocols), Agile development processes, and exposure to industry microprocessor designs (x86, ARM, or RISC-V).
