Internal IT Audit Intern - Summer 2027

The Internal Audit Intern supports the Internal Audit team, which reports to the Company's Board of Directors on behalf of shareholders. The intern will work on a team assisting with IT and operational audits that evaluate internal and external performance standards, while learning new skills and engaging with business leaders across the enterprise. Audits may cover IT general controls and emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud platform management and cybersecurity.

This 12-week, full-time program runs from May 17, 2027 to August 6, 2027. It offers a chance to build professional relationships, contribute to key audit deliverables, learn about many IT disciplines in a major organization, and show your critical thinking and creativity.

This role requires associates to be in the office 3 days per week, combining structured office time with virtual work. Per the hybrid/virtual work policy, candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the posting location unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience and learn about the healthcare industry, IT disciplines and the Internal Audit profession.
• Research and support the IT Audit team on important IT audits, gaining healthcare and IT auditing experience.
• Assist with industry research and planning for audits covering important and emerging technology risks.
• Learn and document technical processes using narratives and visuals.
• Work with IT professionals across many domains by helping develop, monitor and track material request lists and other audit support.
• Contribute to and document planning and process walkthrough meetings.
• Help evaluate the design of processes and controls that protect the Company from significant risks, including detailed control testing.
• Summarize audit results for key stakeholders, including senior leadership, and recommend improvements to processes, policies and procedures.
