& Pixar Games Hiring Art Intern in Glendale

Join the Creative Development Team at Disney & Pixar Games. This position calls for a highly creative, dedicated individual who will partner with game developers from around the world to build the next generation of Disney & Pixar Games.

As an art intern in Creative Development, you will support the team's artists. You will provide visual guidance and brand feedback to external partners and offer concept and design support as needed, helping raise the visual quality of our mobile, console, and PC game portfolio.

If selected, you will work alongside a senior artist to review assigned visual development submissions and help guide the artistic direction of our projects, so each game feels compelling, appealing, and authentically Disney & Pixar. This is a full-time onsite position in Glendale, CA, running from mid-January through June 4, 2027.

What You Will Do

• Play game development builds and review art asset submissions to give brand and qualitative feedback
• Provide visual feedback, guidance, resources, and direction through draw-overs, paint-overs, and written notes to ensure quality and brand authenticity across assigned games
• Collaborate with external game partners, through internal project leads, on visual designs across the product lifecycle, from ideation to release to live operations
• Solve brand and visual design challenges in collaboration with project leads
• Contribute to special internal projects beyond game visual development, such as team branding items, presentation decks, and unique executions
• Brand & Franchise Guidance: Research current and upcoming Disney and Pixar IP guidelines to advise partners so that game art direction and visuals are designed and executed thoughtfully, authentically, and respectfully
• Support your direct manager and the wider art team as they oversee and guide projects from start to finish, keeping them updated on assignment progress

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven ability to create compelling artwork, graphics, and illustrations
• Strong passion for Disney & Pixar brands and IP
• A dedicated gamer who keeps up with new games
• Clear understanding of gaming platforms (Mobile, Console, PC) and various game types and genres
• 2D art skills, including drawing and illustrating Disney-like characters and worlds
• Additional skills in at least one area such as character design, 2D art, 2D animation, 3D art, environmental design, or UI design
• Good artistic knowledge and ability to execute various art styles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present feedback and ideas clearly and concisely
• Self-starter who is reliable and committed to their craft and its challenges

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience with graphic art such as UI, logo design, presentation deck graphics, and branding elements
