About the Role & Program

Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force behind Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions and cruise ships worldwide. Imagineers work across creative, conceptual, scientific and technical disciplines, blending storytelling, art, science and technology to build immersive experiences and memorable destinations for families around the globe.

The internship runs approximately January 2027 to June 2027 in Orlando, FL.

What You Will Do

As a Project Management intern, you will work on the tactical project management of small to large projects from concept through close out. You will work under Walt Disney Imagineering leadership and collaborate with creative, technical, engineering and construction teams across the lifecycle of facilities, rides, shows and systems.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Assist in managing the entire scope of a small project or a self-contained, clearly defined scope of work
• Assist with scheduling, estimating and budgeting within project scope
• Collect and verify document change information to support proposed solutions
• Help prepare presentations to management on project status
• Build relationships and communicate verbally and in writing with project teams, vendors and consultants

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven ability to manage the project development process and documentation (shop drawings, document control, punch lists)
• Full understanding of scheduling, budgeting and estimating
• Exposure to or experience with hiring outside vendors and professional bid packages
• Experience with or support of large-scale construction projects (schools, hospitals, retail or office space)
• Thorough understanding of the contract administration process (contracts, professional fees)
• Ability to work through conflict and resolve issues
• Ability to understand client needs and maintain relationships between the owner and operator
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote)
• Ability to take direction, adapt to change, build relationships and work in a team environment

Education

• Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher at an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management or a related field

Program Information

Candidates must meet all of the following:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, or currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• Not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

Additional Information

• Able to provide reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
• Limited housing is available for Florida-based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities.

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $26.50 per hour for undergraduate students. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, dependent on the level and position offered.
