Position Summary

The intern will support the development and qualification of a spectral flow cytometry assay within the Autologous and Autoimmune Product Sciences team. The role offers hands-on laboratory work and exposure to assay development, data analysis, and scientific documentation. The intern will work with scientists to improve assay performance and generate high-quality data for clinical product characterization.

Over the internship, the intern will own a set of method development experiments, from experimental design through data interpretation and presenting results. The full-time internship runs June to August 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and run method development experiments for a spectral flow cytometry phenotyping panel
• Work on projects such as optimizing unmixing strategy, improving execution workflow, and assessing sample stability
• Analyze and interpret experimental data to evaluate assay performance
• Document procedures, results, and observations in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN)
• Work with team members to troubleshoot and optimize protocols
• Present findings and progress in team meetings and a final project presentation
• Maintain laboratory safety and follow standard operating procedures. The intern will handle human-derived material, and bloodborne pathogen training is provided.
