Reuters News Internship Program

Learn from award-winning journalists this summer at the world's largest international news agency. The Reuters News Internship Program is a chance to fast-track your journalism career and build skills across a range of subjects and media. The program welcomes curious reporters, producers, photojournalists and data specialists who want to tell stories for a global audience.

This internship places a student or early-career journalist with the Reuters Graphics Desk in New York. Reuters Graphics is an editorial team that tells stories through charts, maps, illustrations and interactives. The team looks for a new way into every story, whether through its form or its topic, such as an original interactive game about the mental benefits of video games.

Interns will partner with Reuters editors and reporters worldwide, including members of the newsroom's other data journalism groups such as its award-winning analysis team and its news application desk. The work blends skills from journalism, computer programming and design, so ideal candidates bring interest or experience in more than one of these areas.

The Role

• Paid 12-week internship starting June 21, 2027
• An assigned Senior Editor as a mentor
• Formal training and coaching
• Contribution to in-depth stories during the assignment
