Systems Marketing Engineering Intern

Job Description

At TI, Systems Marketing Engineering Interns focus deeply on understanding the technical needs of our customers and future trends of an industry or end equipment, then create systems level solutions. They drive technical collaboration with customers, product lines, and the TI sales force to deliver innovative whole system solutions across key end equipment.

In this internship, you will work on projects that involve:

• Working with customers to provide innovative solutions to their most challenging problems
• Using TI's broad portfolio to combine parts into whole system level solutions that accelerate customer product life cycles
• Combining hardware and software capabilities to further integrate complete TI solutions
• Reference design development, including block diagram, schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication, assembly, and testing
• Interfacing directly with TI business units and customers to influence product roadmaps
• Gathering user requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and implementing solutions for broader end equipments
• Providing complete documentation for system level solutions
• Performing troubleshooting and debugging on system issues while working directly with customers

As an intern, you will also gain exposure to other roles such as Applications Engineering, Product Marketing Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Sales, helping you broaden your knowledge and accelerate your growth at TI.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of and experience with system design, including writing IC design specifications, developing algorithms, and creating system reference models
• Knowledge in structured and/or object-oriented programming (C, C++) and signal processing tools (Matlab)
• Analysis of common electrical circuits
• Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting solutions to stakeholders and customers
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively across functions
• Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to take initiative and drive for results
• Strong time management skills for on-time project delivery
• Ability to analyze data from multiple sources to aid decision making
• Familiarity with schematic capture simulation tools
• Ability to use data and calculations to select the best fitting parts
• Ability to break down and analyze complex systems
