Summer Intern

Your Role

Aptiv is seeking motivated and talented students to join our Internship Program. As an intern, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and gain hands-on experience by supporting real business and technical projects across various functions. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to real projects that drive business results and create value for Aptiv.
• Gain hands-on experience by working on meaningful assignments rather than administrative tasks.
• Partner with experienced professionals and cross-functional teams on day-to-day business challenges.
• Support project planning, execution, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop professional, technical, and leadership skills through practical experience.
• Present project updates, recommendations, and final outcomes to stakeholders.
• Participate in networking, mentoring, and development opportunities throughout the internship.

Experience & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Must be available to intern in person at our San Diego, CA office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Nice to Have

• Leadership experience through student organizations, academic projects, or extracurricular activities.
• Interest in the automotive, mobility, technology, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Compensation

This role's compensation range is between $4,200 to $5,500.

Compensation is determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members.
