Software Engineer Co-op

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and test applications to simulate avionics sensor behavior for Collins Avionics products.
• Assist the development team in debugging laboratory issues to determine root cause and propose solutions.
• Interact and network with teammates, management, and customers.
• Support Program Leads with budget and schedule data for program success.
• Work with a team of engineers to shape the future of the avionics simulation platform.

What You Will Learn

• As part of the Common Simulation Environment team, you'll actively contribute to multiple Avionics programs, participate in a scrum team, and gain hands-on troubleshooting experience in the System Integration Laboratory.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, actively enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship/co-op.
• Experience with C/C++.
• Experience with Python scripting.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with GUI design/implementation.
• Experience with C#.
• Experience with MS Visual Studio.
• Experience with MS SQL Server.

This role is onsite, and commuting to the assigned site is the employee's responsibility. The salary range is 37,000 to 82,000 USD, depending on experience and other factors. RTX offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, and more.
