Engineer I, Software Test and Automation

This role sits in the Hivemind Solutions Division on the Integration & Test team, based in Washington, D.C. It is a full-time position.

What you'll do:

• Develop Python-based automated tests, test utilities, and analysis tools that support autonomy software validation.
• Support verification and validation work across simulation, SIL, HIL, VIL, and representative system environments.
• Build and improve regression, integration, functional, and performance tests with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Analyze test results, spot unexpected system behavior, and help debug software and integration issues.
• Write scripts and tools that reduce manual testing and make test execution and analysis more repeatable.
• Help develop software quality metrics, dashboards, test reports, and readiness assessments.
• Help integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows to give software developers rapid feedback.
• Work with autonomy software, systems engineering, flight test, and integration teams to understand system behavior and validation requirements.
• Take part in laboratory and hardware testing of autonomous systems, sensors, flight controllers, networking equipment, and mission computers.
• Find ways to improve test coverage, automation, documentation, and validation workflows.
