About the job

Are you ready to explore the world of aerospace and defense? At RTX, our internships, co-ops and full-time careers offer a strong foundation to work on complex problems, grow your skills and help create a safer, more connected world.

The Parts, Libraries, and Obsolescence Department is looking for individuals to provide Components Engineering support for the circuit card design process, turning designs into robust, reliable products. You will work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high quality, producible designs. Team members will see every phase of the circuit card lifecycle, from development through production, and will present their findings in program design reviews.

What You Will Do

  • Select, specify, and confirm application fit for electrical components, supporting cost effective and robust parts for successful products.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to build component risk and verification data packages that justify component selections to program customers.
  • Identify parts for the preferred parts list, drive usage of standardized parts, recommend ways to address obsolescence, and find solutions that meet customer component requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field, and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship or co-op session.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design or printed circuit board design.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.

What We Offer

  • Values that guide our actions: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and Innovation.
  • Relocation eligibility.

This role requires an active or existing security clearance after day 1. Candidates may be asked to attend select interview steps in person at an RTX office.

Hired applicants may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays, depending on business unit and collective-bargaining coverage. Annual incentive programs may also apply, though payments are not guaranteed.

This is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate lives in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
